Watch every notebecome light.
Plug in your MIDI keyboard and play. Xascada turns it into a cinematic performance you can watch, feel, and export to video.
Play, practice, compose, and share. All in one instrument.
Connect a MIDI keyboard and your notes fall as light on a lit keyboard, while a top bar reads the key, chord and Roman numeral in real time. When you're done, render the take to video.
Made for the way you make music.
Three players, one instrumentPractice that scores you.
Drill graded ABRSM exercises in step-mode, get every run scored against your personal best, and let auto-detected trouble spots tell you which bars to fix.
Render it, then share it.
Play a part live, pick the built-in synth or your own recording as the audio, and export a cinematic clip to YouTube 1080p.
Build the progression.
Work a chord heat-map with weighted suggestions and templates, reorder the progression by drag, then export MIDI or send it straight to practice.
One menu, every mode.
A radial menu opens over the keyboard with everything Xascada does — drills, cinematic, compose, ABRSM, theme, playlist, and your library. One window, no project files, no setup.

Six presets. Your light.
Aurora Violet, Sunset, Ocean, Forest, Synthwave, Crimson — pick a preset, then choose how the notes break: embers, comets, shards, bubbles, ribbons. Set your own colours and the whole instrument takes them on.
Live play
Connect a USB MIDI keyboard and play. Notes fall as crystal light on a lit keyboard while a top bar reads the key, chord, and Roman numeral as you go.
Cinematic export
Render a performance to video — built-in synth or your own recording — and export to YouTube 1080p.
Compose
Build a progression from a chord heat-map with weighted suggestions, then export MIDI or send it to practice.
ABRSM exercises
Scales, arpeggios, broken chords and contrary motion, graded Grade 1 to Grade 8 by hand, octaves and tempo.
Step-mode drill
The drill waits for the right note before it advances, so you learn a hard bar at the pace you can play it.
Scored runs
Every drill returns accuracy, weighted score, longest streak, a perfect / good / miss split, and a star rating against your personal best.
Themes
Six appearance presets, switchable impact effects, and custom colours.
Graded exercises to Grade 8.
Scales, arpeggios, broken chords and contrary motion — every exercise tagged by ABRSM grade, hand, octaves and tempo. Drill in step-mode and every run comes back scored.

Get XascadaQuestions, answered.
Does Xascada make sound?
Yes. It has a built-in synth, so a MIDI file plays back on its own. Plug in a MIDI keyboard to play live, and when you export a video you can use the synth or your own recording as the audio.
Do I need a MIDI keyboard?
No. Open a MIDI file and it plays through the built-in synth, or load it into a graded drill. Plug in a USB MIDI keyboard when you want to play live and have your notes become light in real time.
What can I do with it?
Play live over USB MIDI, drill graded ABRSM exercises in step-mode, compose chord progressions from a heat-map, and export a cinematic performance to YouTube 1080p.
Does it follow the ABRSM grades?
Yes. The exercise library spans Grade 1 to Grade 8 — scales, arpeggios, broken chords and contrary motion — each tagged by hand, octaves and tempo, with scored runs and a personal best.
